Information you provide
Hixville Book Box may store account information, Book Box registration details, book-tracking activity, author profile information, support messages, and information you choose to add to the service.
Public information
Approved Book Box locations and information intended for community discovery may be visible through Find a Book Box. Information you publish through author profiles or book journeys may also be visible to eligible Hixville members according to the feature involved.
Payments
Payment processing is handled through Stripe. Hixville does not need to store your full payment card number in its application database.
How information is used
Information is used to operate accounts, connect orders and official signs to the correct owner, provide book and Box tracking features, administer author tools, answer support requests, prevent misuse, and maintain the Hixville service.
Location information
A registered Book Box may include an exact address or map location so readers can find it. Do not register a location unless you are authorized to make that Book Box location available through Hixville. For QR code analytics and tagged Pinterest campaign visits, Hixville may record the approximate city, state or region, and country inferred by its hosting provider from an internet connection. These estimates may be inaccurate. They are used in the private Admin analytics dashboard to understand where QR links and tagged Pinterest links are opened; this analytics feature does not request precise GPS location or store GPS coordinates.
